WORSHIP and LITURGY
The Episcopal Church Welcomes You!
We at St. Matthew’s as part of The Episcopal Church, are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, and trace our heritage to the beginnings of Christianity. We uphold the Bible and worship with the Book of Common Prayer. We believe in amendment of life, the forgiveness of sin, and life everlasting. We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every person.
At out Sunday Worship, we use Rite 2 of the Prayer Book except in Advent and Lent when we use Rite 1. At all Sunday services we have directly after the distribution of Holy Communion a service of Healing (the laying on of hands and anointing).
After the Sunday Service we have a time of fellowship with coffee, tea and cookies. Please come and join us!
ALL are welcome to find a spiritual home at St. Matthew’s.
SUNDAY: Eucharist 10.30 am
Thursday: Eucharist at noon
We use the book of Common Prayer. Our service is Rite 2 each Sunday except during Advent and Lent. During these seasons we use Rite 1.
We offer each Sunday: Healing (Laying on of hands and anointing) at the altar rail following the distribution of Communion.
